1. Information Stored in the App
BeenThere: Save Places is an iOS application designed to help users save, organize, and remember places they want to visit or have already visited.
BeenThere: Save Places allows you to create and manage information about places, including:
- Place names and addresses
- Location coordinates
- Wishlist and visit status
- Categories
- Dates
- Notes
- Ratings
- Activities and other information you choose to add
This information is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
BeenThere: Save Places does not upload this information to our servers, sell it, or share it with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes.
2. Location Services
BeenThere: Save Places may request access to your device's location to help you view your current location on a map and save places near you.
Location information used by BeenThere: Save Places is processed on your device. BeenThere: Save Places does not transmit your location data to servers operated by us.
You can enable or disable location access at any time through your iOS device settings.
3. Share Extension
BeenThere: Save Places includes an iOS Share Extension that allows you to save places from other apps, such as Safari, Apple Maps, or other applications that provide shareable place information.
When you share content with BeenThere: Save Places, the App may process information such as:
- Place names
- Addresses
- URLs
- Other metadata provided by the source application
This information is processed on your device and, when saved, becomes part of your local BeenThere: Save Places data.
BeenThere: Save Places does not send this information to servers operated by us.
4. Apple Services
BeenThere: Save Places uses Apple's native technologies and services, including MapKit and Apple Maps, to provide map and location-related functionality.
When using these Apple services, certain information may be processed by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy practices. BeenThere: Save Places does not control Apple's data processing.

5. Analytics and Advertising
BeenThere: Save Places does not use third-party advertising networks or analytics services to track your activity across apps or websites.
We do not sell your personal information or use your BeenThere: Save Places data for targeted advertising.
6. Data Security
Because BeenThere: Save Places stores your information locally on your device, the security of your data depends in part on the security of your device and your iOS account.
We recommend protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or another available security method.
If you delete BeenThere: Save Places, locally stored app data may also be deleted. Data included in device backups may be retained according to Apple's backup and data retention practices.
7. Children's Privacy
BeenThere: Save Places does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because BeenThere: Save Places does not operate servers that collect or store users' personal information, the App is designed to minimize the collection of personal data regardless of the user's age.
